Saud Shakeel scored his second Test century to help Pakistan national cricket team to recover from a shaky start and take control of the first Test against Sri Lanka in Galle.

Introduction

Pakistan batter Saud Shakeel scored his second Test century to help the visitors recover from a shaky start and take control of the first Test against Sri Lanka in Galle.

Shakeel came to the crease when Pakistan was 67-3, and he put on a century-plus stand with Agha Salman to help Pakistan reach 274-5 at stumps on day two. On Day 3 of the 2nd Session Pakistan is leading by 69 runs.

Saud Shakeel Ton

Saud Shakeel ton came off 129 balls and included 12 fours. He was particularly impressive in the second half of his innings when he scored 69 runs off 69 balls. On Day 3 of the 2nd Session, Saud Shakeel is batting at 158 in 238 balls by hitting 15 fours. Agha Salman scored 83 on 113 balls by hitting 9 fours and 1 six.

On Day 3 end Saud Shakeel(158) is batting with Naseem Shah(1).

Pakistan’s Recovery

Shakeel’s ton was the cornerstone of Pakistan’s recovery. After the early loss of Imam-ul-Haq(1), Abdullah Shafique(19), and Shan Masood(39), Pakistan was in danger of being bowled out for a low score.

However, Shakeel and Salman put on a solid partnership, and they helped Pakistan to recover and post a respectable total.

Sri Lanka Bowling

Prabath Jayasuriya bowled 31 overs and conceded 115 runs with 1 maiden over and took 3 wickets. Ramesh Mendis bowled 26.1 overs and conceded 121 runs with 1 maiden over and took 3 wickets. Vishwa Fernando and Kasun Rajitha took 1-1 wicket.
